Innovative sow farming for tomorrow’s pigs
At Jules Derks, we adhere to a strict SPF protocol: anyone entering the farm must have been pig-free for at least 48 hours
All our piglets are vaccinated against circovirus and mycoplasma. Our farm produces luxurious, very healthy and efficiently growing piglets.
Our sow farm has over 1,200 sows kept in stable weekly groups.
Our sows are a cross between Danish Yorkshire and Danish Landrace, and our terminal boar is a DB 77.

About our sow farm
An Inno+ biological air scrubber is connected to the stables at our sow farm, which reduces ammonia emissions. The sow groups and farrowing pens are equipped with a cooling system with a heat exchanger. The heat is used to warm the piglet nests. We also try to be as energy neutral as possible by using approximately 1,200 solar panels. Most of our piglets go to customers in Germany and Austria
Our team is the pride of our company.
Our employees are the driving force behind our sow farm. Every day, they take the utmost care of our animals and strive for maximum health, quality and animal welfare.
